Lexie Long Named Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore Lexie Long (Covington HS) the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Women's Softball Player of the Week for March 11-17. 

Long hit .522 (12-23) and slugged 1.000 during the Chargers' 4-2 week. She posted multiple hits in all four wins, going 12-for-19 with nine RBI, three doubles, two home runs and a triple during the four-game winning streak to end the week. Long was also responsible for 11 runs scored and a half dozen stolen bases. 

The softball team returns to action on Wednesday, March 20, at home versus Wilmington College in a doubleheader at 3 and 5 p.m.
