The Lady Chargers battled early, trailing 15-10 after the opening quarter, but a decisive second period by Hocking created separation that Edison State could not overcome. The Hawks used a 32-point quarter to take control and maintain their lead the rest of the way.
Edison State Highlights
Sophomore Presley Reese led the Lady Chargers with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Emerson Walker added 11 points and a pair of steals. Jaela Johnson provided a spark off the bench, finishing with nine points, and Sadie Larrabee contributed five points and a team-high of eight rebounds.
Edison State collected 13 steals on the night but struggled from the field overall, shooting 25.8% and 12-of-25 from the free-throw line.
