Hughes Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) named Edison State Community College sophomore Allison Hughes (Parkway HS) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for December 10-16, 2024. Hughes picks up the fifth OCCAC weekly honor of her career.

Hughes averaged 30 points and 20 rebounds in the Lady Chargers' two victories. Yes, you read that correctly—60 points and 40 rebounds in two games. She added four assists, two steals, and two blocks while logging 68 minutes and shooting 51% (26-51) from the field. Hughes was dominant in both contests, posting 35 points, 19 boards at Cedarville and 25 points, 21 boards at Oakland.

The Lady Chargers are currently 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
