Johnson Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore Kailah Johnson (Notre Dame Academy) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for January 24–30, 2022.

Johnson garners award #4 (December 6, January 3, January 17) by stuffing the stat sheet with 26.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 steals, and 4.5 assists per game as the Lady Chargers picked up two league wins and maintained their unblemished season ledger. She knocked down 18-of-35 (51%) field goal attempts and 15-of-17 (88%) at the charity stripe. Johnson was good for a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double at Lakeland.

The Lady Chargers are 19-0 overall and 6-0 in the OCCAC.
