Johnson Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore Kailah Johnson (Notre Dame Academy) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for January 10–16, 2022.

Johnson snags her second award in the last three weeks and third overall this season (also honored on December 6 and January 3). She lifted the undefeated Chargers to 15-0 with two road triumphs last week. Johnson averaged a double-double (26.0 points, 11.0 rebounds) and tacked on four assists, three steals, and two blocks. She was deadly from long range, netting 8-of-16 (50%) three-point shots.

The Lady Chargers are 15-0 overall and 2-0 in the OCCAC.
