Johnson Receives Two Player of the Week Honors
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore Kailah Johnson (Notre Dame Academy) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for December 27, 2021–January 2, 2022. The World Exposure Report (WER) also named Johnson its NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.

Johnson stuffed 27 points into just 21 minutes on the floor during a lopsided 101-47 win over Miami University – Middletown. She reached double-double level, adding 10 rebounds with seven coming on the offensive glass. The sophomore guard shot 62% (13-21) from the field and chipped in four assists.
The 13-0 Lady Chargers have corralled six of eight weekly OCCAC accolades this season, with three different representatives winning one or more.
