National Trail's Laird Joins Lady Charger Basketball Team

Makena Laird, a 5-foot-8-inch small forward, joins the Edison State Women's Basketball program from National Trail High where she was a 4-year varsity letterman. During high school, Laird was awarded Second-Team All-CCC and First-Team All-CCC. Her junior year she got voted First-Team All-District underclassmen and senior year she got voted First-Team All-District 15 and Runner up Player of the Year for District 15. Laird was invited to play in the District 15 All-Star game both her junior and senior years. Laird plans to further her education at Edison State by studying Medical Assisting.
