Holly Frey, of Fort Loramie, signed a letter of intent to join the women's basketball team at Edison State Community College next season.
As a lady Redskin, Frey's talent contributed to her team earning back-to-back state titles. Leading the team in field goal percentage her junior and senior year, Frey also earned all-league honors both years and secured a spot on second team All-Southwest District her senior year.
She hopes to continue her success while at Edison State. "My goal for my first season at Edison is to be a contributing part of the team and help lead the Chargers to a successful season."
"There were a few Loramie girls ten years or so older than me that played for Edison and their team went to nationals–that's something I dream of doing during my time at Edison," added Frey.
Her career at Fort Loramie has helped prepare her for the season ahead. "We were always expected to perform at a high level at all times. Our practices were very intense and our schedule contained the best of the best so that we could become the best."
"I am very excited to play for Edison State next year. I have always dreamed about playing a college sport, and now it's finally happening!"
"I'm very excited to have Holly join our team," said head women's basketball coach, Tim McMahon. "Holly comes from a great program where she worked hard and was very coachable. She will be a great asset to our program."
