Kamerer, Pine Named OCCAC Players of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has named Edison State Community College sophomore Emma Kamerer (Canal Winchester HS) the OCCAC Softball Position Player of the Week and sophomore Marissa Pine (Graham HS) the OCCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 27-May 3, 2026.

Kamerer went 12-for-15 (.800) at the plate with three doubles, two home runs, and six RBIs. She connected on multiple hits in five of six games, all of which ended as Lady Charger victories. Her pair of longballs came in back-to-back games—conference wins over Terra State and Lakeland.

Pine secured the prize for the fourth time in the last five weeks. She earned the win in all three starts, including a pair of complete games. Pine worked a total of 15.0 innings, allowing just one earned run (two total) on six hits and five walks while striking out 20 batters. Two of her three starts comprised of five scoreless frames.

The Lady Chargers finished their regular season 34-6 overall and 17-3 in the conference. They will compete in the Great Lakes District B Tournament on Wednesday, May 6.
