Edison State Softball Dominates Game One; Game Two Postponed at UNOH JV
The Edison State Community College softball team delivered an offensive explosion in game one of its doubleheader at the University of Northwestern Ohio JV on March 31, cruising to a 17-1 victory before game two was delayed and ultimately postponed due to weather conditions.

The Lady Chargers wasted no time setting the tone, plating three runs in the first inning before erupting for 11 runs in the second to take complete control of the contest. Edison State added insurance runs in the third and fifth innings to cap a dominant 17-run performance on 16 hits.
Leading the offensive charge was Marissa Pine, who went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, while also earning the win in the circle. Mackenzie Byrne had a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Abigail Kadel added three hits and an RBI.
Additional contributions came from Taylor Bauer (two RBIs), Izzy Holp (two RBIs), and Kasidi Daugherty, who drove in two runs and recorded a triple. Camryn Swain scored three runs and reached base four times, helping ignite the lineup.
In the circle, Pine was dominant, striking out seven batters over three hitless innings. Ella Dersham closed out the game, allowing just one hit while striking out three.
Game two of the doubleheader was delayed due to weather and field conditions before being officially postponed. A makeup date will be announced at a later time.
Edison State returns home next to host Findlay JV on Monday, April 6, with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
