The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has named Edison State Community College sophomore Kaycie Albers (Minster HS) the OCCAC Softball Position Player of the Week and freshman Marissa Pine (Graham HS) the OCCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 21-27, 2025.
Albers went 6-for-7 in the doubleheader sweep over the Lakers, driving in seven runs and scoring two of her own. She also stole a base en route to becoming the third consecutive Lady Charger to win the league's weekly position player laurel.
Pine continues her dominance, bringing home her fifth accolade of the season and her fourth in a row. Her fourth Pitcher of the Week recognition comes on the back of a complete game win over Lakeland that included 15 strikeouts while allowing a lone unearned run to come across on two hits and two walks.
The Lady Chargers are currently 22-8 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
