Place Named OCCAC Athlete of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College freshman Olivia Place (Anna HS) an OCCAC Softball (Position) Player of the Week for April 18–24, 2022.

Place went on an absolute tear during the Lady Chargers' six consecutive wins last week. She went 15-for-21 (.714) with three doubles, nine RBIs, and 10 runs scored. The freshman second baseman recorded multiple hits in all six contests and registered both multiple runs and RBIs in four of six games with at least one run in each.

The Edison State softball team is 22-10-3 overall and 12-3-1 in the conference.
