Bio
Kyle Vanover returns to Edison State Community College for his 8th year as the Head Men's Basketball Coach. Under Coach Vanover’s leadership, the Chargers have a combined record of 98-77 overall and 45-41 in the OCCAC! Coach Vanover's 2021-2022 team produced a record for most wins in a single season with 25, best home record of 18-0, best finish in school history and was a Region 12 Runner-up. Vanover was named OCCAC Co-Coach of the Year in 2021-2022. Coach Vanover has coached two NJCAA All-Americans; 2nd Team Lacey Watson in 2018-2019 and 3rd Team Ibrahima Athie in 2021-2022. Coach Vanover has also placed Owen Bronston on a NCAA Division I roster at South Carolina State in 2024-2025.
Vanover has 20 plus years of coaching experience. Vanover has coached at a variety of levels and brings with him a lot of experience and knowledge of the game. Vanover dedicates his time to helping student-athletes develop their skills by volunteering at camps and different leagues throughout the year. Along with coaching basketball, Vanover is an avid Golfer. Vanover graduated from the Golf Academy of America with an Associate's Degree in Golf Complex Operations.
Outside of coaching, Kyle dedicates his free time to his family, wife Andi and his daughter Charli Jo (the Chargers' Number 1 Fan).
