Curry Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has named Edison State Community College freshman Malcolm Curry (Wayne HS) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for February 16-22, 2026. This is his second honor of the season.

Curry averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game during a pair of league wins for the Chargers. He opened with 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists against Owens before coming back with 20 points and 10 rebounds at Bryant & Stratton (OH). Curry converted at a 60% clip (18-of-30) overall on field goal attempts.

The Chargers are currently 18-7 overall and 12-2 in the conference.
