The Chargers trailed early but closed the first half on a run, taking a 37-23 advantage into the break. Edison State maintained control in the second half, shooting over 52% from the field for the game and converting timely free throws down the stretch.
Darian Leslie led all Edison State scorers with 22 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the floor while adding six rebounds, three steals, and a block in 37 minutes. Cashawn Ingram followed closely with 20 points, four assists, and three steals, consistently attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line.
Malcolm Curry contributed 13 points and six assists, while Tyler Wyles provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, knocking down three three-pointers. Edison State also won the rebounding battle, 38-34, helping limit Terra State's second-chance opportunities.
Despite Terra State outscoring Edison State 57-53 in the second half, the Chargers' first-half cushion and consistent offensive execution proved to be the difference.
Edison State improves its momentum moving forward as conference play continues on Saturday, February 7, against Lakeland at 11 a.m.
