The Chargers wasted little time setting the tone, racing out to a 49-29 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and balanced scoring. Edison State shot an impressive 57.6% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range, while holding Bryant & Stratton to just 36.7% shooting for the game.
Darian Leslie led all scorers with 23 points, knocking down five three-pointers and adding four assists in just 28 minutes of action. Sir Cox delivered a dominant performance in the paint, finishing with 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting, along with six rebounds and a block.
The Chargers' backcourt controlled the tempo throughout the game. Cashawn Ingram dished out eight assists to go with 12 points, while Frank Latham chipped in 12 points and four rebounds. Edison State totaled 26 assists on 38 made field goals, highlighting its unselfish offensive execution.
Strong contributions came off the bench as well. Tyler Wyles provided a spark with 15 points, hitting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and Kelvin Cotton-Cash added six points and five rebounds. Edison State's depth allowed the Chargers to maintain pressure for all 40 minutes.
Defensively, Edison State limited Bryant & Stratton to 20.8% shooting from three-point range and forced 16 turnovers, turning defense into offense throughout the contest.
With the victory, the Chargers continue to build momentum as they head deeper into the season.
