Leslie Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has named Edison State Community College sophomore Darian Leslie (Dunbar HS) the OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for November 3-9, 2025.

Leslie and the Chargers pushed the second-ranked D-II in the country, Parkland College, to the final minutes of a 94-86 defeat. Leslie poured in 36 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-9 from long range. He also knocked down 10-of-11 free throws to give his squad a chance at the upset.

Edison State came back three days later and picked up a win at Wayne County, 84-73. Leslie delivered 17 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in that one. For the week, he shot 56% (17-32) from the floor en route to 26.5 points per game.

The Chargers are currently 3-1 overall.
