Jackson Commits to Edison State
Dae’Shawn Jackson, of Springfield, Ohio, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Edison State Community College in the upcoming season.

During his senior year at Springfield High School, Jackson averaged 15.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 3.8 assists per game. He earned a career-high 40 points in one game and became the first player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points. Jackson also grabbed Second Team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) honors, and Division I Special Mention AP All-District honors. Furthermore, he helped lead the Wildcats to their first regional finals appearance since 2004.
The 6-foot point guard joins the Chargers from Owens Community College. As a freshmen starter at Owens last year, Jackson averaged 9.4 points per game and 3.9 assists per game.
The men's basketball coaching staff is eagerly anticipating the leadership and athleticism that Jackson will bring to the Chargers program this season.
Jackson will pursue an Associate of Arts while attending Edison State Community College.
