As the Edison State Community College baseball team finished their season, the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference named four players recipients of postseason awards for the 2026 season.
The OCCAC named Parker Shannon, of Beavercreek, to the D-II All-OCCAC First Team. The sophomore infielder maintained a .347 batting average with three HRs, 14 RBIs, and one SB in conference action.
"Parker has proven to be a high-level talent for us over the past two seasons while anchoring the shortstop position for us," said Head Baseball Coach Chris Wamsley. "He has provided leadership as a captain, and through everyday examples, he demonstrates the type of work ethic it takes to be successful at the college level. I am extremely proud of Parker for his recent 1st Team All-Conference designation, and I am also very excited to see what the next steps in his journey will be; there is no doubt he will excel at anything he endeavors to become a part of."
Jackson Clark, from Centerville, earned spots on the D-II All-OCCAC Second Team and D-II All-Freshmen Team. He maintained a .423 batting average with two HRs, nine RBIs, and three SBs in conference play.
Wamsley said, "Jackson came into this past fall already seen as a leader within our freshman class and did nothing other than work hard all season and prove to any doubters exactly what he was capable of. His ability to adapt his swing and defensive approach to better fit within the college game was a pleasure to be a part of. I would have been appalled not to have seen him voted in as an All-Conference selection for the past season, but to be voted as a member of the All-Freshman Team as well is a great indicator of where his talents and dedication to improvement can take him—wherever his journey may lead and within our program for the 2027 season."
The OCCAC named Josh Ullmer to the D-II All-OCCAC Second Team. The freshman from Centerville maintained a .294 batting average with three RBIs and eight SBs in conference action.
"Josh came into our program with zero expectations this season and nowhere to go but up for us, based on his application of skills development and hard work," Wamsley said. "To see Josh selected to a 2nd Team All-Conference designation was definitely one of the proudest moments of our program for me this season. If you want proof that hard work and dedication toward a willingness to adjust and do anything you are asked to do will pay off, Josh Ullmer is that proof."
Joining Clark and Ullmer on the D-II All-OCCAC Second Team is pitcher Caden Yearwood, from Cincinnati. The freshman maintained an 8.53 ERA and threw 20 Ks in conference play.
"Caden came into his freshman season with us with a ton of possibilities for what his pitching role could mean to our program and proceeded to completely surpass every level we had hoped he could attain during his freshman campaign," said Wamsley. "Seeing his initial season culminate with a 2nd Team All-Conference designation was a perfect reward to the intense work he brought to his approach for us each and every day. I am very excited to see what he will bring back to our program this fall and into the 2027 season."
The Chargers finished their season 10-26 overall and 5-11 in the OCCAC.
