The Chargers recorded eight hits in the contest, led by Ryan Dugger, who collected two doubles, and contributions from Chase Stebbins, Kael Starks, and Tyler Raker, who each drove in a run. Despite a late push, Clark State capitalized on a big second and third inning to secure the win.
Edison State responded in game two with a hard-fought 10-9 victory. The Chargers showed resilience at the plate, drawing seven walks and capitalizing on timely hitting. Parker Shannon led the way with a home run and four RBIs, while Jackson Clark added three hits and two RBIs. Josh Ullmer crossed the plate three times, helping power Edison State to the one-run win.
