Jacobs was responsible for 21 runs (11 RBIs, 10 runs scored) in a six-game week for the Chargers. He smacked two homers and two triples to rise above a 1.000 slugging percentage. Once on the basepaths, Jacobs terrorized the opposition for three steals. In four conference contests versus Lorain County, the freshman first baseman did the most damage—totaling 10 runs, eight RBIs, five hits, three walks, two dingers, and two triples.
Bellamy missed bat after bat in a five-inning complete game no-hitter as Edison State won at Lorain County, 11-0. He struck out 12 of 16 batters faced, allowing a lone baserunner (walk). Bellamy was named the OCCAC Pitcher of the Week on March 21 as well.
The Chargers are currently 14-3 overall and 9-3 in the OCCAC.
