Edison State Professors Throw First Pitch

Edison State Community College faculty members Brenda Morand and Eileen Thompson threw the opening pitch at the Charger's home baseball game against Lakeland Community College on Saturday, April 16.
The professors were recognized prior to the game for helping the team's Puerto Rican players acclimate to Edison State during the past year. In addition to throwing the first pitch, Morand and Thompson received autographed season posters for their efforts.
The Chargers went on to split their doubleheader with Lakeland CC, losing a close first game 8-7 and winning 6-5 in the second matchup. Edison State plays next in a doubleheader against the University of Cincinnati – Clermont College on Thursday, April 21 with the first pitch at 3 p.m.
