Edison State Community College fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to Sinclair Community College on Tuesday.
Sinclair Community College scored on a triple by Hailey Mceldowney, a single by Cierra Chastain, and a single by Kenedie Cox in the second inning.
The Chargers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Sinclair Community College, giving up ten runs.
Sinclair opened up scoring in the second inning, when Mceldowney tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
A double by Mackenzie Smith in the first inning was a positive for Edison State.
Ashley Brown earned the victory on the rubber for Sinclair. She surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
Alexis Romine took the loss for Edison State, surrendering seven runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one.
Wendy Hawk went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Edison State in hits.
