Early Lead For Lakeland Seals Fate For Chargers

Edison State Community College fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-1 loss to Lakeland Community College on Saturday.

Lakeland Community College scored on a single by Abbie Tuttle, a single by Cameron Malkamaki, and a double by Teyah Sautter in the first inning. 

The Chargers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lakeland Community College, giving up eight runs.

In the first inning, Lakeland Community College got their offense started, scoring one run when Tuttle singled. 

Sautter earned the win for Lakeland, surrendering one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Hallie Snyder took the loss for Edison State, allowing 14 hits and six runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Wendy HawkKacie TackettMaddie WhiteHannah Oaks, Hallie SnyderAlexis Romine, and Rayna Brownlee each collected one hit to lead Edison State.

Lakeland Community College collected 20 hits. Nicole Ulogar, Sautter, Asianna Settles, Gabriella Monastero, Malkamaki, and Tuttle all managed multiple hits for Lakeland Community College. Ulogarwent 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Lakeland Community College in hits. Lakeland Community College didn't commit a single error in the field. Tuttle had the most chances in the field with six.
