Alexis Romine didn't allow a single run as the Edison State Community College softball team defeated the University of Cincinnati–Clermont 16-0 on Sunday. Romine allowed just one hit.
Mackenzie Smith collected four hits in four at-bats to help lead Edison State to victory. Smith singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
The Lady Chargers opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring one run when Alexis Romine singled.
One bright spot for UC–Clermont was a single by Sam Reese in the third inning.

The Lady Chargers totaled 19 hits. Smith, Romine, Hawk, Long, Hicks, and Tackett each collected multiple hits for Edison State. Smith led the Lady Chargers with four hits in four at-bats. Edison State stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Rayna Brownlee led the way with two.
Reese went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the University of Cincinnati–Clermont in hits.
