Charger Men Defeated by Columbus State

After 10 minutes of play and a 26-25 Edison State lead, the Cougars of Columbus State Community College with numerous threes and mid-range jumpers pulled away shooting 57% from the field and a scorching 55% from the 3 point arc. The Chargers had their chance to retaliate with numerous uncontested opportunities, but the injury-riddled Chargers failed to capitalize.

Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) led in scoring for the Chargers with 18 followed by Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) with 13 points and Danny Lee Corbett (Briggs HS) with 12 points.

The Edison State men's team moves to 13-8 on the year. The Chargers return to action next Saturday, February 3rd as they host Clark State at 1:00 p.m.
