The Edison State men's basketball team won their ninth game of the season defeating Clark State on the road Friday, December 8 in double overtime.
After cold perimeter shooting and being outscored 21-7 from the line, a couple clutch shots down the stretch proved to be the difference. Romello Yaqub hit a huge three-pointer to send the game to its final overtime and Dakota Prichard hit a runner off the glass in the final seconds to seal the deal.
The Chargers had four players in double-figure scoring with Darryl Robinson (Toledo Bosher HS) leading that column with 17 and adding 5 rebounds. Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) added 14 and pulled down 8 boards, Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) 12 points and Zach Ledbetter (Vandalia Butler HS) 11 points hitting 3 of 4 from behind the arc.
Edison State moves to 9-2 on the year. Next up, the Chargers will be at home versus Southern State Community College on Wednesday, December 13 at 7:30 pm.
