The Edison State Men's basketball team won on the road at OSU-Mansfield Tuesday evening 83-72.
The Chargers led by 14 at the half and as much as 19 in the second half. But the deep three point shooting of the Mavericks kept the game within striking distance for the duration. Fortunately, the Chargers kept pace matching their shots at the other end hitting 7 of 15 from the 3 point arc and converting free throws down the stretch. The Chargers are now 12-10 on the season.
Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) scored 24 points on the evening while Zach Ledbetter (Vandalia Butler HS) added a season-high 21 points including 3 of 5 from behind the arc. Dae'Shawn Jackson (Springfield HS) scored 12 points as did Christopher Landrum, II (Troy Christian HS) while Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) added 8 points for the Chargers.
The Chargers will return to the road Wednesday, February 8th to take on Clark State at 7:30 p.m. in a conference matchup.
