Edison State Falls Short in First Round of Tournaments

The Chargers came up short Friday, May 12, losing to Lakeland Community College by a score of 7-4 in Sub-District Tournaments at Cuyahoga Community College. Lakeland was able to capitalize on two out hits and four errors to beat Edison State.

Brandt Cronebach continued his consistent play collecting 2 hits on the day. Edison State was able to mount a comeback in the 8th scoring three on a Tyler Shamblin two-out single.

Jeffrey Mefford, Jr. took the loss on the mound for the Chargers, going five innings allowing four runs before yielding to Marcus Johnson who gave up three runs in three innings of work.
